Ryan Armetta

DeRidder High School

Future Plans: After high school, I will attend the University of Louisiana at Monroe to major in Pre-Pharmacy. I have already been accepted into ULM’s Pharmacy Provisional Entry Program (PEP) based on my academic achievements and performance during a competitive panel interview. This opportunity will allow me to begin focused preparation for a future career in Pharmacy.

Favorite Memory from High School: My favorite memory from high school is participating in sports and building lasting bonds through teamwork both on and off the field. From winning championships to forming lifelong friendships, these experiences have meant so much to me. I’m especially grateful for the many teachers and coaches who invested in me and helped shape the young man I am today.

Future Plans: Attend Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La & double major in Music Educstion & Music Performance.

Favorite Memory from High School: When I was selected to represent the DHS band, the school, the city & entire state by being selected into the Macy’s Great American Marching Band & March in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade two years in a row.

Future Plans: After graduating from DeRidder High School, I plan to attend McNeese State University in the fall. I will be majoring in Radiology with a minor in Agricultural Sciences. My goal is to gain hands-on experience by working at a local hospital in Lake Charles while pursuing my degree. With my minor, I will be able to extend my career opportunities while enjoying my hobbies.

Favorite Memory from High School: My favorite memory from high school would definitely include ANY home football games. I enjoy being able to show my school spirit from the sidelines, while doing something that I love with my best friends! Nothing will ever top the feeling of shouting our Alma Mater after a DeRidder Dragon win.

Future Plans: After my High School graduation I’ll be attending McNeese State University to pursue a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I’ll be playing Trumpet in The Pride of McNeese Band

Favorite Memory from High School: One of my most favorite memories from High School was being member of the DeRidder High School Ambassadors in Blue. Being part of the Band is one of my best moments in my years in High School. I enjoyed a lot all the performances in Marching Gestival season, Concerts and Honor Band activities in the State. Playing with the band is my best memory in my years in High School.

South Beauregard High School

Future Plans: After high school, I will be attending Louisiana State University where I will be studying Marketing. With my intended major, I plan to return to my hometown to give back everything that they have poured into me throughout my life. I plan to be a Tourism Marketer--which will allow me to show others the true value that Beauregard Parish has to offer. I won't only be marketing tourism, but also housing and promoting local businesses.

Favorite Memory from High School: My favorite memory from high school is hosting Bright Days. This is a parish-wide event for any student with an IEP. This even allows these students to truly have fun with one another, and it teaches kids like me how important serving others is. Being a part of this event, has truly brought me and many others an indescribable amount of joy. ai am forever thankful for these kids and the sponsors that allow this event to take place.
